The Brain

This image is a great illustration of the distinct functions of the two hemispheres of the brain (cerebrum).

The brain region known as the cerebrum is divided into two halves.

The left hemisphere is believed to be responsible for our logic, thinking, analysis, comprehension, speech, sequencing, thinking in words, language, linear thinking.

The right hemisphere is believes to be responsible for interpreting visual information, it controls rhythm,  creativity, imagination, feelings, artistic and music skills, visualisation, interpretation of nonverbal cues, intuition, holistic thinking, daydreaming.

The right hemisphere controls the left side of the body and the left hemisphere controls the right side of the body.

This two hemispheres are joined by a bundle of fibres (Corpus Callosum) that transmit messages from one hemisphere to the other.
